“It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” (George Eliot).

Nicole Starleigh is 38, a creative writing grad student living in coastal Virginia with her husband, two sons, three dogs, and two cats. While she dreams of fall’s blissful temperatures 365 days a year, she loves quiet mornings at the beach, chewy fudge brownies, exploring the charms of small towns, and hazelnut in her coffee. Born and raised in southeastern Pennsylvania, Nicole left home at 25 to join the U.S. Air Force. It wasn’t until she reached her thirties that she found her true calling. A believer that not every happily-ever-after exists only in fairytales, Nicole loves to see everyday women become the heroes of their own stories – in real life and fiction.

Nicole is a member of Sigma Tau Delta (International English Honor Society) and Romance Writers of America, and holds a BA in English and Creative Writing – Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University. Between working as a supervisor of ride operations at her local theme park and studying online classes through SNHU, you can find her penning Supernatural fan-fictions on Wattpad and follow her on Instagram. This Side of Heartache is her first novel.
